Synopsis: The human heart is a profound science. People commit crimes because they are dominated by emotions such as greed, anger, and jealousy. Yu Xingbo (played by Huang Zongze), a senior chemist of the Forensic Affairs Department, uses ingenious methods to find out evidence, and is admired by the hot-blooded policewoman Huo Baoying (played by Wang Minyi), creating a love that cannot be calculated scientifically. Fan Peiqing (played by Cai Jie), a senior doctor in the forensic department, is calm and wise, and is silently guarded by the rogue doctor Qin Kenan (played by Hong Yongcheng) to break through the predicament.
